Hi! My name is Larry Lin, and my calling in life is to make space for people who don’t belong.
Here are some things I am into (in no particular order):
- Making lists
- The way of Jesus
- Connecting the gospel to current events and social issues
- Bringing divided people together
- Complicating simplistic narratives
- Exploring new kinds of music
- Making graphs
- Contemplating the current state of the American church
- Looking random things up on Wikipedia
- Baltimore (the greatest city in America)
- Inside the NBA
- Vermicomposting
- Bluey
- The Bible Project
- C. S. Lewis
- Pre-2006 Switchfoot
- Korean fried chicken
- My wife and two kids
Professionally, I’ve spent most of my career doing three things: working in college ministry, pastoring at churches, and resourcing clergy on peacemaking. Right now I’m a pastor at Grace Life Church, a non-denominational church located in the Baltimore area. Along the way, I’ve also made music, tutored high schoolers, sold kitchen knives, written for magazines, charged electric scooters, made graphs on theology, guest spoken at retreats and conferences, and written code. I’m a bit all over the place—I have ADHD.
I am also pretty active on social media. Feel free to follow me there.
